Hazel Boseman Shaw

February 28, 1938 — June 10, 2025

Hazel Boseman Shaw, 87, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 in her home. Mrs. Shaw was born in Halifax County, the daughter of the late Maggie Garner and Major Boseman. She was also preceded in death by her sister Margie Newsome and her brothers Charlie Boseman and Wayne Boseman.

Surviving include her husband Carlton R. Shaw, her daughters Susan S. Riggan (David) of Littleton, NC and Kathy S. Jamison (Dave) of Twinsburg, OH, and her grandson Joshua D. Jamison (Alexya).

A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025 in Quankie Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Lavelle Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremaiton Service. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com .
