William "Billy" Love

William “Billy” Joseph Love, Sr., 51, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, TX.  Mr. Love was born on October 24, 1971 in Roanoke Rapids, the son of the late Brenda Ormond Love and Dallas “Bunky” Martin Love.

Surviving include his wife Edith Katherine Schuer Love, his children:  Elizabeth Love and Billy Love, Jr., his stepdaughter Alexis Wolfe; his stepson Devon Edwards; all of Roanoke Rapids; his sister Debbie Pittman (Steve) of Roanoke Rapids, his brothers: Leonard Love (Julie) of Littleton, Keith Love (Effie), Tony Love, and Mike Love, all of Roanoke Rapids; his granddaughter Olivia Wolfe; his good friend Lance Brown of Texas; several nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Jimmy King officiating.  Burial will follow in Love-Allen Cemetery behind Community Drive in on Highway 158.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Services.   In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Billy’s children’s education fund.  Please make check payable to Truist FBO Elizabeth Love and Truist FBO Billy J.
