William "Billy" Lawrence Shearin

William Bill Lawrence Shearin, 70, formerly of Halifax County, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at his residence.

Bill was born in Halifax County, July 18, 1946, to the late Howard William Shearin and Ruth Pair Shearin. He was a true family man who loved his children and grandchildren and was a friend to everyone he met.

Surviving are his three daughters, Nikki S. Chhabra and husband, Shahn, Kortney Shearin, both of Raleigh, and Brandis Shearin and husband, Robin Monzon, of Cary, and wife of 46 years, Janice Shearin, of Cary. Also surviving are six grandsons and two granddaughters.

Rev. Randy Martin will conduct a service of remembrance in the chapel at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Thursday, August 11, 2016, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family will have a private burial in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
