William "Billy" Cole O'Neal

William Billy Cole ONeal, Sr., 82, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home.

Billy was born November 17, 1934 in Halifax County to the late William Herbert ONeal and Shirley Livingston Pittman ONeal. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Melanie ONeal and Dustin Cole ONeal; his brother, Wiley Sidney ONeal, Sr.

Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a dedicated truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Perlene ONeal of the home; his sons, William Cole ONeal, Jr. of Roxboro, Dennis Ray ONeal and his wife Debra and Robert Earl ONeal both of Roanoke Rapids; his special companion, Princess; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Billys life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Dr. Dennis W. Gregory, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 1:30 P.M. prior to the service..
