William "Bill" Braxton Evans

William “Bill” Braxton Evans, 92, died at Signature Health & Rehab of Roanoke Rapids Saturday, February 05, 2022.

Mr. Evans was born in Halifax County, North Carolina, son to the late Paul Child and Elizabeth Tudor Evans. In addition to his parents, Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Evans; son, Ronald Lee Evans and his brothers, George & Paul “Bug” Evans, Jr.

Surviving is his daughter, Linda E. Norris and husband, Glenn of Roanoke Rapids; sisters, Betty Lou Edwards of Roanoke Rapids, Ellen Jones and husband, Forrest of Darlington.  Grandchildren, Brian Norris, Kellie Munn, Renee Evans, and Tommy Evans; great grandchildren, Brandon Evans, Casi Byrum, Jeffrey Manning, Ashley Morgan, Alex Norris, Gracie Norris, Crystal Norris, Melissa Hale, Christopher Munn, Tiffany Greene, Kristian Gaitor and Patrick Norris.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 3:00 pm in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service one hour prior to the graveside beginning at 1:30pm.
