Willa Love Carver

Willa Love Carver, 71, of Everetts School Road passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 16, 1944 to the late Mayo Clark and Mary Carlisle Clark.Willa was also preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Love; her son-in-law: David Beam; her half-brother: Russell Clark.

Willa was a member of Harvest Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday School and was President of the Womens Ministries for over 20 years.She was devoted to her family and God.She retired from Halifax Medical Specialist after 37 years and was also known as the family doctor/counselor and a role model.

She is survived by her husband: Ralph Carver; her daughters: Gail Smith and her husband Tony, Denise Beam and Mary Love; her step-daughter: Elizabeth Daniel and her husband Charley all of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren: Johnathan Smith and his wife Mandi, Jessica Beam, Landen, Logan and Greyson Daniel, Katie and Kenley Floyd; her great granddaughter: Caroline Smith; and a special thanks to Tammy Rodwell and Ann Anderson and the staff of Halifax Home Health and Hospice.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Harvest Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Norwood Starling and Rev. Tony Smith officiating.Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the church and other times at the home.Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service is handling the arrangements..
