Vivian Louise Browder

Vivian Louise Browder, 71, died Friday, September 25, 2009, surrounded by her family, at her home on 969 True Blood Rd. Halifax, NC.. She was born November 23, 1937 in Halifax County.

She was a compassionate, caring and loving

wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and had a heart for all people. Special thanks to Ken and Frances Hardee and to the doctors and staff of Halifax Regional Medical Center and Home Health and Hospice of Halifax.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents: G.L., Sr. and Cloy Thompson and a brother: G.L. Thompson, Jr..

She is survived by her husband: Don Browder of Weldon; sons: Gary Browder (Glenda) of Roanoke Rapids, Swain Browder of Weldon and Keith Browder (Patsy) of Roanoke Rapids; daughters: Donna Conwell (Charles) of Wendell and Tina Garvey (Victor) of Weldon; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother: Lynwood Thompson(Dorma) of Chesterfield, Va., and sister: Bessie Mae Morris(Bernard) of Littleton.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 from 7 9 pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service and other times at 969 True Blood Rd. Halifax, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 2 pm at Hawkins Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy King, Rev. Sid Collins and Rev. Michael Thorne officiating.

Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
