Victoria "Vicki" Liles Lancaster

Ruby Victoria (Vicki) Liles Lancaster, 69, died Saturday, September 08, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Vicki was born September 17, 1942 in Halifax County to the late John Robin Liles, Jr. and Ruby Tharrington Liles. She attended East Carolina University. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church and member of the United Methodist Womens Club. Vicki also worked with the Federal Housing Authority and Civil Defense of Halifax County. In addition to her parents, Vicki is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Herbert Liles and John Robin Liles, III; three sisters-in-law, Dolly Collier Liles, Lillian Oliver and Martha Mullen and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Oliver and Robert Mullen.

Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Sankey Edd Lancaster of the home; two sons, Marshall Lancaster and wife, Karen, of Silver Spring, MD, and Robin Lancaster and special friend, Rosemary Morriss, of Roanoke Rapids; three brothers, Jimmy Liles, Harold Liles of Aurelian Springs, and Eddie Liles and wife, Kathy, of Roanoke Rapids; one sister, Sue Duke and husband, Randolph of Aurelian Springs; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Powell and husband JD, Alice Darlington and husband, Jim, and Doris Liles, all of Roanoke Rapids; three brothers-in-law, Ronald Lancaster and wife Robbin of Palmetto, GA, Leroy Lancaster of Roanoke Rapids, and Donald Lancaster of Raleigh. Vicki is also survived by her two beloved granddaughters, Laursen Victoria Lancaster and Anna Page Lancaster, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, who is handling arrangements, Monday, September 10, 2012 from 6:30-9:00 pm. Rev. Sid Collins will conduct funeral services at Tabor United Methodist Church, 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 with interment to follow in the church cemetery.. Flowers are welcomed, or donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Greenville.
