Vessie Ann Goodman 88 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away peacefully at Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation on Thursday April 25, 2024. Vessie was born on March 25, 1936, in Roanoke Rapids. She was preceded in death her parents Edward Lee Thomas Sr and Ethel Harris Woodruff, her son Irvin Lee Goodman, grandson Braden Shelby Wingate, brother Edward Lee Thomas Jr and sister Esther Moore.

Vessie is survived by her daughters Cheryl Ann Goodman of Riverview Florida, Donna Gail Goodman McClung (Russell) of Berryville Virginia, Dr. Angela Leigh Lewis of Pompano Beach Florida, grandchildren Russell David McClung Jr. (Stefanie) of Round Hill Virginia, Kaitlin Ann McClung of Sterling Virginia, great grandchildren Lucas and Chloe McClung of Sterling Virginia and fiancé Claudius Melvin Lewis of Emporia Virginia .

She loved her family very much, golfing, bowling, and working with disabled veterans.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 1, 2024 9:00am - 9:45am and there will be a graveside service at 10:00am at Crestview Cemetery.
