Timothy Jobe Finch

Timothy Jobe Finch, 51, of Aurelian Springs Road, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at home.

Mr. Finch was born October 19, 1963 in Halifax County to Howerton Finch, Sr. and Gertrude Snowdean Eason Finch.He was a diehard Elvis fan, always had a joke or funny story to tell.Timmy was also a compassionate and loving person.

Timmy was preceded in death by his mother: Snowdean Finch and good friend Tony Aycck.

He is survived by his father: Howerton Finch, Sr. of Weldon; his longtime companion: Bernice Hunt of the home; his sons: Christopher Job Finch of Littleton and Michael Wayne Finch of Raleigh; his brothers: Howerton Finch, Jr. of Weldon, Gene Finch of Roanoke Rapids and Mike Suggs of Tarboro; his sisters: Angela Wright and her fianc Philip Bailey and Priscilla Edwards and her husband Dennis; his granddaughter: Natalie Finch; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Dr. Dennis W. Gregory, Sr. and Joy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon.The family will receive friends from 12:00 1:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his sister Priscilla Edwards, 1506 Dogwood Street..
