Thomas Braxton Warren, 73, died December 14, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Braxton was born in Halifax County, January 28, 1939, to the late W.W. Warren and Ruth Liles Warren. He attended New Hope United Methodist Church for 25 years; loved his gardening, where he gave away more of the food to family and friends, and he loved country music, not only listening to it, but also playing it on his guitar, particularly in the mornings with his cup of coffee. In addition to his parents, Braxton is preceded in death by his brothers, Linwood, Reid, and Buddy, and his sister, Ruth.
Surviving is his wife, Linda Pepper Warren of the home; two sons, Chris Warren and wife, JoJo and Craig Warren and friend, Deidra, both of Aurelian Springs; step son, C.J. Griffin and wife, Donna of Gloucester, VA; step daughter, Tammy G. Evans and husband, Arthur of Littleton and brother, Winfield Warren of Littleton. Also surviving is ten grandchildren, Amanda, Kayla, Lil Brax, Sara, Tiffany, Trey, Zach, Megan, Margaret, and Malinda, and two great grandchildren, Bailey and Aiden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 7-8:30 pm and all other times at the home on Davie School Rd.
A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Sue Owens, Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 am in Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, PO Box 2117, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
