Thomas "Tommy" Edward Francis Jr.

Thomas “Tommy” Edward Francis Jr, 74 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on Thursday November 20, 2025. Tommy was born on January 21, 1951, in Halifax County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas Edward and Betty Jo Francis.

He is survived by his wife Deborah P. Francis, son Thomas E, Francis III (Heather), stepdaughter Lisa P. Starling (JL), sisters Teri Chislebrook, Tonya Chislebrook (Craig), Judith Herrin (Doug), grandchildren Savanna Outlaw, Thomas E. Francis IV, Sasha M Smith, Joseph Daniel Smith, Kalie S. Raque(Madison), great grandchildren Cooper M Woods, Everly A. Woods, Isla J. Woodard, Barren A. Raque and his “furbaby” “Petey”.

Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, He was a member of Victory Baptist church, retired from CSX railroad, loved NASCAR and Travelling with his family.

The family will receive friends and family on Monday November 24, 2025, from 11:00am to 11:45am at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Services. Memorial service will follow the visitation at 12:00pm in Hockaday Chapel. Pastor Jeremy Kobernat presiding.
