Thomas Daniel Jernigan

Thomas Daniel Jernigan, 89, of Jackson, NC passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Absolute Care in Angier, NC.  Mr. Jernigan was born on August 26, 1934 in Bertie County, the son of the late Nola Early and Herbert Jernigan.  He served our country as a member of the United States Army.

Surviving include his wife Rebecca Cooke Jernigan; her son Danny Jernigan (Darlene) of Jackson; his daughters, Tammy Emery (Lee) of Roanoke Rapids, Cathy Freuler (Alan) of Littleton, and Michelle Smith (Wayne) of Bailey; 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 27, 2023, in Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
