Thomas Eugene Hildebrand, 68, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Thomas was born in southern York County, PA, July 11, 1943, to the late Robert Elwood Hildebrand and Hattie Mae Grimm Hildebrand. He attended Susquehannock High School and graduated in 1961. In 1963 he entered the United States Air Force and retired in July 1984 with twenty years of dedicated service. He then worked as a computer analyst for the Army for eight years. After traveling for a few years, he and his wife took up residence at Mill CreekLanding on Lake Gaston in 2002. After becoming members of Lakeside Lutheran Church, Thomas became quite active in church activities until his death.

Surviving is his wife of thirty-eight years, Margie, of the home; two sons, Thomas E. Hildebrand, Jr.and wife, Amy, and Shannon T. Hildebrand and wife, Lori; one daughter,Nicolette L. Milliron and husband, Daniel;one brother, Robert E. Hildebrand and wife, Karen and four grandchildren.

A celebration of Thomas life will be held at Lakeside Lutheran Church, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Dennis Hahle, Pastor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions, in Thomas name, be made to: Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Road- Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
