Teresa Marie Stansbury

Teresa Marie Stansbury, 61, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Teresa was born in Covington, Virginia, on September 23, 1959, to Dolly Nicely Campbell and James Chapman. Her beloved parents and her younger sister, Dawn Kelly, preceded Teresa in death.

Surviving are Teresa’s husband, Gary Stansbury; her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, Melissa Stansbury, Andrew McGuffin, and Rachel Stansbury, of Durham, NC; her youngest sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Jeff Gunter, of Low Moor, VA; and a number of cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Teresa served as an administrative assistant with Halifax Community College’s Northeastern North Carolina Nurse Family Partnership. She loved dancing, traveling, country drives, and antique shopping, but most of all she treasured time spent with family and friends.

Due to CDC and Covid-19 restrictions, the family will hold a private graveside service, which will be live-streamed. The family will gather friends to celebrate Teresa’s life at a later date.
