Su Lynn Baker

Su Lynn passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. She was 55 years old.

Su was born July 8, 1958, at Cherry Point Air Station in Havelock, NC, the only daughter of the late Walter Richard Mike Baker and Virginia Lee Evans Ginny Baker. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Alan Rick Baker, and several aunts and uncles. Su graduated from Roanoke Rapids High and obtained her Associates Degree from HCC. She worked many years at Colliers Grocery in Roanoke Rapids and W&H Farm Supply in Halifax.

She is survived by her two daughters: Ashley Davis Carter and her husband, Josh Carter of Fremont, NC and Stacey Davis of Goldsboro, NC; 3 grandchildren: BriAnna Morris of Pleasant Hill, NC. , Joshua Carter, Jr. of Fremont, NC, and Savannah Davis of Roanoke Rapids, NC.; her brother Michael Baker and his wife, Patricia Baker of Hertford, NC.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, or any Breast Cancer Treatment Center of your choice, in her memory..
