Shirley Beazley Taylor

Shirley Beazley Taylor passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2026. She now rests in the arms of our Lord and Savior. Born on Feb. 13, 1934, she was the daughter of Lebbeus and Laurene Beazley.

Surviving include her husband of 72 years, Lee Ellis Taylor, her children, Steve Taylor (Lynn), Debbie Taylor Cooley, Kimberly Taylor Zickefoose, Bruce Taylor (Evelyn), and Brenda Taylor Spragins (Mike), her sister Eleanor Beazley Vouga, her brothers Robert Beazley and Garland Beazley (Margo), her sister-in-law Martha Miles, 14 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, church member, and Lake Gaston Ladies Club member. Shirley was known for her perfect hair, nails, makeup, and jewelry, but most importantly she loved the Lord and had a big heart. She was loved by all who knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Good News Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Pastor Jimmy King officiating. Colorful clothing is appropriate, since Shirley loved bright colors. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1.00 - 1:50 PM.
