Shirley Ann Smith Mosley

Mrs. Shirley Ann Smith Mosley, 83, of Roanoke Rapids died December 9, 2017 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA.

Born in Halifax County, NC on September 6, 1934, Shirley was the daughter of Coail and Nellie Mae Armstrong Smith.  Mrs. Mosley was a member of Central Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading, gospel music, cooking and her church.  Mrs. Mosley retired from Rosemary Textiles.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Robin Grosso and her husband Peter of Suffolk, VA and Shelia Phillips and her husband Tommy of Chesapeake, VA; her son, Steven Scott Mosley of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Burchell Smith of Weldon; grandchildren, Brandi Mezzapeso (Pete), Meghan Miller (Zack), Logan Phillips, Jill Mayes and Jenny Mayes; and great-grandchildren, Michala, Skylar and Emerson Mezzapeso.  In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

The funeral service for Mrs. Shirley Mosley will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Central Baptist Church, with Pastor Stephen Tondee presiding.  Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
