Shelby Jean Adams Werner

Shelby Jean Adams Werner, 80, of Rapids Street passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at her home.

Shelby was born June 17, 1936 in Halifax County to the late Raymond M. Adams and Alma Lee Thomas Adams.She was also preceded in death by husband, Acey G. Turner.

Shelby Was a longtime member of the Roanoke Rapids Church of God and Roanoke Rapids First Pentecostal Holiness Church.She loved her Lord and Savior.Shelby was a good woman, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Dickens and her husband Tommie of Gaston; her brother, David Adams and his wife Rose of Roanoke Rapids; her granddaughter, Brandy Dickens; her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Matthew and Cambry; her special friends, Sue Dickerson, Shirley Smith and Sue Hasty.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Roanoke Rapids First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Matthew Smith and Pastor Jerry Waters officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter, Sheryl Dickens..
