S. Dean White

2019. Dean White, 68, of Gaston passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Dean was born March 20, 1951 in Henry County, Virginia to the late Canada Chester White and Mary Surratt White. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne White.

Dean was a loving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He served his country in the U.S. Air force. Dean was an avid fisherman, loved golf and watching his favorite teams, America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys and UNC Tarheels.

Dean is survived by his children, Sharon White of Henrico, Brad White and his wife Jessica and Christie Edmondson and her husband Kevin both of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren, Jared Burch, Wil and Ryan White and Dylan and Drake Edmondson; his brothers and sister, Buford White of Roanoke Rapids, Rush White of Battleboro, Tommy White of Rocky Mount, Norma Wright of Roanoke Rapids and Bruce White of Greenville.

A visitation will be held at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.
