Ruth Harris Wester

Ruth Harris Wester, 91, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at her home.  She was born on August 17, 1933, in Warren County to the late T. J. Harris and Northia Wood Harris.  She is preceded in death by her husband Doctor Johnson Wester.

Ruth loved her family and loved working for Larry and with her special friend Cheryl at Spears Pharmacy until she retired at the age of 86.

Ruth was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Sylvia Ford (Charlie), sisters Addie Stratton, Mary Williams (Donald), Nancy Patton (Jesse), brother Tom Harris (Doris), step-granddaughter Renee Smith (Earl) and her family Erica Edmonson (R. B.), Jacob Smith, Harper Edmonson, Brody Edmonson and many nieces and nephews.

At her request there will be a graveside service, Thursday, March 27, at 2:00PM at Cedarwood Cemetery with the Rev. Jeremy Kobernat officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in her memory.
