Ruth King Pulliam

Ruth King Pulliam died on March 5, 2012 at The Oaks at Mayview in Raleigh, NC.

She was born September 22, 1923. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis G. Pulliam, her father and mother, Charles Oakley King and Carrie Glasgow King; a brother, Charlie Earl King, and a sister, Florence King Hasty. She was a long time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids.

She is survived by her children: daughter Donnie P. Ducharme and husband Richard in Cary, NC; daughter Carol P. Nyborg and son Adam in Powells Point, NC; daughter Shari L. Brightbill, in Roanoke Rapids and her son, Bryan of Kill Devil Hills; and son Gary G. Pulliam and his wife Delores in Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. James Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baptist Childrens Home or to Gideons International.
