Ruth Whitman Poole

Ruth Whitman Poole, 69, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Signature Health.  She was born December 21, 1954, in Prince George County, VA to the late Louis Whitman and Margarette Holloway Whitman.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Poole; her daughter Amy Chambliss; her sisters Joyce Anderton and Lydia Merritt.

She is survived by her sons Timmy Peterson and Jerry Peterson (girlfriend Katie Cauthan); her daughter Jackie King (David); stepdaughter Sherry Poole; her grandchildren J.C. (Sonya), Kevin, Shannon, Stevie, T.J., Stormie, Elizabeth, Destiny, Aaliyah, Ashleigh, Michael, Raegan, Jackson, Madison, Nathaniel, Brice, and Jesse; great grandchildren Lundie Gray, J.C. III, Keenan, Delainey, and one on the way; her brothers Blaine Whitman (Kim), Johnny Whitman, Billy Whitman (Robin), and Timmy Whitman.
