Ruby P. Ogburn

Ruby P. Ogburn, 80, of Gasburg, VA passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, VA.

Ruby was born September 28, 1938 in Gasburg, VA to the late Fenton and Susie Wright Poythress.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ogburn; her grandson, Timbo Hobbs.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Hobbs and Tod Hobbs and his wife Donna; her daughters, Roberta Hobbs and Teresa Taylor; her grandchildren, Chris Pullen, Ollie Bowling, IV, Jessie Taylor, Joshua Edwards and Tiffany Hobbs; her great-grandchildren, Kenneth Taylor, Hallie Taylor and Weston Taylor; her brother Howard Poythress; her sisters Betty Majors and Gertrude Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Old Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery in Gasburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2018 at the funeral home.
