Rose Lovette Mills Adams

Rose Lovette Mills Adams, 79 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Thursday October 31, 2024.  She was born on August 20, 1945, in Roanoke Rapids.  She was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Nettie Whitby, daughter Brenda Rose Mills, brothers Allen Whitby and Rufus Whitby.

She is survived by her husband David Adams, sons James W. Mills Jr. (Tammy), Michael W. Mills (Sharon), Brian E. Mills (Bobbie), daughters Brenda Mills Lee (Phil), Patrica Mills Fox, step daughter Crystal Adams, brother Jerry Lee Whitby (Kathy), sister Glenda Whitby Lloyd, grandchildren Kenneth, Melissa, Michael Jr., Richard, Ann, Amanda, Marc, Brandy, Rickey and Gloria, numerous great grandchildren, nieces Pam and Tammy, special fur babies “Squirt” and “Meme”.

Visitation will be Monday November 4, 2024, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremations, a funeral service will be Tuesday November 5, 2024, at 2:00pm in the Hockaday Chapel with Pastor Julian Mills presiding.
