Robin Edd Lancaster

April 11, 1973 — July 1, 2022

Surrounded by love and comfort, Robin Edd Lancaster, 49, passed away peacefully the morning of July 1, 2022 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.  Since his cancer diagnosis in October 2019, he approached his treatment with fortitude and heart, seeking to maximize the longevity of the life he loved living. While the many family members and friends he leaves behind will mourn his loss, he was welcomed into the loving embrace of his parents who went before him, Ruby Victoria Liles Lancaster and Sankey Edd Lancaster, to whom he was born on April 11, 1973 in Roanoke Rapids.

From growing up in Aurelian Springs to his adult years in Roanoke Rapids and Lake Gaston, Robin was an integral part of the communities where he lived, studied, and worked. He made friends everywhere and earned the trust of clients as he met their business needs. Through his innovative and skilled professional photography, Robin captured the beauty of Lake Gaston for real estate websites and advertising, attracting the attention of home buyers who would also come to appreciate LKG as much as he did. He was a local political campaign guru, building and designing communications platforms for candidates who shared his passion for making the community better.  He also served on the Board of Trustees at Halifax Community College.  He was a serial entrepreneur, a talented chef, a fun-loving boater, a Tar Heel fan, a coffee afficionado, and a generous host.

Robin is survived by his fiancé Rosemary Vericella Morriss of Roanoke Rapids and her daughters, Alexandra and Samantha. He is also survived by his brother, John Marshall Lancaster and his wife Karen of Silver Spring, Maryland, and he was Uncle Robin to his beloved nieces Laursen Victoria Lancaster and Anna Page Lancaster.  He was loved and cherished by his many Liles and Lancaster aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5 at Hockaday Funeral Home, and other times wherever people who loved him organically gather to share stories and celebrate his memory. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Tabor United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robin’s memory to the American Cancer Society to fund their efforts supporting cancer patients and their families.
