Robert Edwin Turner

Robert Edwin Turner, 79, of Halifax, passed away on Friday, December 2nd, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Turner was born in Halifax County on September 23, 1943, the son of the late Myron Albert Turner, Sr. and Mary Lee Cook Turner.  He is also preceded in death by his brother Joel Turner.

Mr. Turner was retired from Halifax County School Bus Garage as shop foreman; he was an avid hunter and fisherman, he was Baptist faith, and he served our country as a member of the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife Margaret Elaine Turner, his daughter Sherry Johnson, her significant other, Christopher Warren, his two sons:  Jason Holliday (Odell) and Robert Rock Turner (Vanessa); his sister-in-law, Linda Turner; his brothers:  Albert Turner (Faye), Robin Turner (Frances), David Turner (Patricia), and Daniel Turner; his sister, Ramona Twisdale; his grandchildren:  Nicole Price (Cody), Justin Turner, Brandon Williams, Jarret Johnson, and Spencer Turner; his great grandchildren:  Stephanie, Natalie, and Halie Hale; and his beloved pet Sophie.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14th in Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Danny Jones officiating.
