Robert Joseph Pipkin

Robert Joseph Bobby Joe Pipkin, 55 of 307 Franklin Street, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Pipkin was born March 24, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Littleton David, Sr. and Dora Twiddy Pipkin. Mr. Pipkin was a member of Rosemary Baptist Church. He worked briefly at J.P. Stevens in Roanoke Rapids. Mr. Pipkin was survived by a sister, Amber P. Hasty (Loyd Steve) and a brother, Littleton David Pipkin, Jr, all of Roanoke Rapids. Nieces and nephews include Roxanne Dickens (Paul) and Loyd Stevie Hasty III (Jane). Great nieces and nephews include Carol, Stephen, and Billy Hasty; Jessyka, and Joshua Dickens; and Patrisia and Maria Rivera. Great great nieces include Jami and Alex May and Selena Rivera. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at 1306 Carolina Street, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements for the Pipkin family.
