Robert "Bobby" Gray Bowers

Robert "Bobby" Gray Bowers ,96, of Jackson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on  January 14, 2019.

Bobby was predeceased by his beloved wife , Elladeane (Deanie) Lee Bowers; son, Robert Gray Bowers Jr. and son-in-law, Charles Cox.

He was a US Army veteran, serving in World War II, and was the owner of B & S Milling Company.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Blair Bowers of Chapel Hill; daughters, Lee Bowers of Durham and Lillian Heath Cox of Raleigh; grandsons, William (Jamie) Cox of Raleigh, Dan (Bethany) Cox of Portland, Maine; Sam and David Cox of Raleigh; Stephen (finance Maddie) Cox of New Orleans, Louisiana; and great grandchildren, Charlie, Ian, and Lilly of Raleigh.

The funeral service will be Saturday, January, 19 at  2:00 pm at the Jackson United Methodist Church followed by a private burial.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 in the church fellowship hall before the service.

Memorial gifts may be sent to the Jackson United Methodist Church or the Jackson Baptist Church.
