Robert Wayne Bowen

Robert Wayne Bowen passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, at the age of 63 at ECU-North Hospital. A native of Halifax County, Robert was born on October 29, 1960, to Robert and Bessie Davis Bowen. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Brenda Harris and Kay Keeter and his brothers George Norwood, James Norwood, and Curtis Norwood.

Surviving are his daughters Jaime (Robert) Williams, Bethany (Austin) Hedgepeth, sons Dennis (Cory) Bowen, David Bowen, Gary (Ashley) Bowen, Jordan (Ashleigh) Bowen, Timothy (Laura) Bowen, grandchildren; Dylan, Gabriella, Brock, Reagan, Ellie, Ellis, Josiah, Jordan Jr, Noah, Elijah, Elena, Elizabeth, and Sawyer, his brother Steven Burnette,  his sisters Vicky Johnson and Mary Lynn Whipple, his ex-wife and caretaker Linda Bowen, and several nieces and nephews.

Robert enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He also loved fishing, hunting and music. He worked for JP Stevens for 20 years and various other companies in the Roanoke Rapids area.

A memorial service will be held at Open Door Fellowship 8 Gum Chapel Road Roanoke Rapids, NC on Saturday August 3, 2024, at 12:00pm.
