Robert John Agoglia

Robert John Agoglia, 86, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 11, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Rocco and Rose DelNegro Agoglia.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. He helped write the Bios for IBM PC AT. He retired from IBM after 25 years and returned to work for them as a contractor for another 10 years. He was very compassionate to those in need.

Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years Connie Agoglia; his children, Bob Agoglia, Jr. and his wife Susan of Henrico, NC, Linda Ballas and her husband John of Long Island, NY, Chris Agoglia and his wife Alicia of Philadelphia, PA; his brother, Joseph Agoglia and his wife Patricia of Florida; his grandchildren, Heather, Greg, Jason, Michael, Timmy, Emily and Jacob; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2018 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Wayne Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
