Richard Gene Wheeler

Richard Gene Wheeler, 36 of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his father Richard Keith Wheeler.

Surviving include his mother Diane James Powell and husband Robert; his children:  Skye Ann Wheeler, Richard “Hubba” Wheeler, and Bryan Keith Wheeler; his dog Lady Girl; his foster sister Renee LeBlanc and husband Chris; his brothers:  D.J. Powell, Michael Powell and wife Adrienne, and Robbie Powell and wife Heather; his paternal grandmother Margariet Wheeler; maternal grandfather Russell James; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jamie Fillinger officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com .
