Richard McCrae Odom

Richard McCrae Odom, 80 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026. Richard was born on July 18, 1945, in Warren County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death his parents Hubert and Magaret Odom and his brother Charles F. Odom.

He is survived by his wife Ann, stepson Kevin Smith (Jennie), sisters Patrica Odom Hawkins (Richard), Susan Lewis (Billy), grandchild Ashely Smith and several nieces and nephews.

James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother; he served his country in the United States Air Force, he loved to do woodworking projects. He was a member of Twin City Rifle Club, American Legion Post 38 and 95th Squadron model airplane club.
