Richard Mack Johnson

Richard Mack Johnson, 58 of Tom Willey Street, Gaston passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at home.

Richard was born April 12, 1957 in Halifax County to the late Walter Richard Johnson and Edna Carpenter Johnson.

He loved his family especially his grandchildren,nieces and nephews. Enjoyed having family gatherings where he cooked his famous BBQ.Richard loved fishing, John Wayne, all westerns, anything Chevy and his garden. Richard was an avid Farmer and worked for Dunlow Farms for 28 years.

Richard is survived by his wife of 33 years: Vicky Johnson of the home; his children: Robert Johnson of Garysburg, Richard Johnson, Jr. of Charlotte and Megan Johnson of the home; two grandchildren: Rilee Hafer and Brandon Johnson; his sister: Dela Gay Chandler and her husband Calvin of Roanoke Rapids; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, June 22, 2015 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.Burial will follow in the Carroll Family Cemetery in Littleton.The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the funeral home and other times at the home..
