Richard Edric Courser, 68 of Littleton passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Nash General Hospital.
Richard was born March 19, 1949 in Goffstown, New Hampshire to the late Tracey Aldrich and Ilene Kenyon Aldrich. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Courser; his sister, Elaine Lemieux; his brother David Courser.
Richards passion was owning and running Stonehouse Timber Lodge on Lake Gaston with his beloved wife Martha for 20 years. He made friends with everyone who came in the door and enjoyed every day he spent working. Although he was from New England, Richard loved living in North Carolina and called it home for the last 22 years. He was a diehard New England Patriots football fan. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, two-step dancing with Martha, riding his motorcycle and loved Dunkin Donuts coffee and fine New England seafood. He loved his children and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his wife, Martha Courser of the home; his children, Richard Courser, Jr., Thomas Courser, Christy Doyle, Heather Courser, Adam Courser, Martha Ruth Lane and Ralph H. Lane, Jr.; his sister, Gloria Brinkley; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Richards Life will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 25 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home..
