Richard Albert "Ricky" Willis

Richard Albert Ricky Willis, 55, died at his home Sunday, February 27, 2011.

Ricky was born in Dante, VA March 12, 1955 to the late Carl Willis and Pauline Moore Willis. He was a good friend, excellent father and great son-in-law. He always looked forward to Christmas in anticipation of receiving his special mother-in-law shirt. Ricky was a US Army veteran and loved woodworking.

Surviving is his wife, Judy Cain Willis of the home, one son, Richard Ashburn Willis of Roanoke Rapids; three step-sons, Thomas Raby, Jr., and wife, Christy, andKenneth Raby, both of St. Marys GA, and Christopher Raby, and wife, Kathy of Conway and one step-brother, Bubba Williamson, and wife, Penny of Roanoke Rapids; mother and father-in-law, Phyllis and David Cain of Lake Gaston.Also surviving are five step-grandchildren, Kimberly, Kaitlyn and Brandon Raby, Brandi and Skylar Keeter.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 AM, Rev. Sue Owens officiating. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to The International Association of Laryngectomees, ATTN: Donation Department, 925B Peachtree Street NE, Suite 316, Atlanta, GA 30309-3918 and/or Relay For Life.
