Reva Mae Jones

Reva Mae Barnett Jones, 95 of Regency Drive in Nashville, formerly of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at home.

Reva was born January 13, 1927, in Weldon, NC to the late James Roy Barnett and Grace Honor Miles.

Reva was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Barney Lee Jones; son Roy Lee Jones and an infant daughter and son.

Reva was a devoted godly woman who loved her children and family unconditionally. She was a dedicated member of the Weldon PHC where she was active in women’s auxiliary, the choir and Sunday school Teacher.

Reva is survived by her children, Ashley Jones (Ann) of Durham; Patricia Holloman (Vic) of the home; Kenneth Jones (Rosemary) of Roanoke Rapids; Diane Burnsworth of Tarboro and Gail Porter (Steve) of Roanoke Rapids; eleven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sisters Martha Hartsoe and Carol Williams; numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care of Nash Health Care and especially Shelly Rhodes and Takita Boulware for their love and caring attention.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon with Timothy Dean officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Gail Porter, 7750 Hwy 903, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
