Randy Ray Ferguson

Randy Ray Ferguson, 31, of Keener Drive, Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC from complications of Congenital Heart Disease.

Mr. Ferguson was born April 10, 1981 in Halifax County. He was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents: Barbara Clay and Austin Clay; his paternal grandfather: Alfras G. Ferguson; and his uncle: Frank Carroll.

Randy graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School and was a fine artist. He loved the Washington Redskins and UNC. Randy also loved fishing and skateboarding. He also was an avid collector, who loved baseball cards, comic books and his autographed Redskin football.

Mr. Ferguson is survived by his mother: Sandra Jeannie Clay Pike and her husband Curtis; his father: Randy Lee Ferguson and his wife Sylvia; Maternal grandmother: Mildred Lee Ferguson; his brother: Joshua Alan Ferguson; his sister: Miranda Lee Ferguson all of Roanoke Rapids; his uncles and aunts: Dean Clay and his wife Janet, Billy Clay and his wife Amy, Ricky Clay, Albert Clay and his wife Barbara, Willie Ferguson and his wife Betty, Elton Ferguson and his wife Shelby and Donna Tillery and her husband Dale; his special friends: Dan McElwee, Alan Tripp, Chris Sanders and Lisa Graham; number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special companion Eli.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Annie Marie Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
