Ralph David Robbins, Jr., 71 of 19786 Justice Branch Road, Littleton died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Robbins was born April 28, 1942 in Rocky Mount, NC to the late Ralph David Robbins, Sr. and Melva Bradshaw Robbins. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Vincent Clark Robbins; a sister: Doris Robbins Becton; a niece: Jessica Wick.He was a dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved his children and grandchildren. He loved hunting, fishing and serving the lord. He was also an avid Duke fan and loved all sports. Mr. Robbins worked for power plant maintenance for many years before he became disabled.He is survived by two sons: Mike Clark and his wife Loretta and Ralph David Robbie Robbins, III and his wife Stephanie; his daughter: Tammy Robbins Roberson and her special friend Chris Elias; his sister: Avis Rainbolt and her husband Mark; eight grandchildren: Michael and Lindy Clark, Tiffany Hayes, Brittany and Robin Boone and Cameron, Kaitlin and Courtney Rogerson; three nieces: Melinda Guy, Jennifer Perkins and Janel Neff; two nephews: Keith Vincent and David Rainbolt; his lifelong friends Chuck Kennemur, Doug Pittard and Mike Bain. The family would like to give a special thanks to Community Home Care and Hospice especially Debra Miller, Lisa Williams and Cheri Parnell.Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Roy Porter and Rev. Wayne Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery in Littleton. The family will receive friends from 7:00 8:30 P.M. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
