Rachel Jones Powers, 68, of Gaston, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 in ECU Medical Center in Greenville. Mrs. Powers was born on January 16, 1958 In Roanoke Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving include her husband Noah Garland Powers, Jr., her sons Noah Kenneth Powers (Dawn) and Joseph Garland Powers (Christine), her daughter Renee Powers Swindells (Jeff), 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her little dog Baby.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Reverend Randy Martin officiating.
