Phyllis Garriss Hartley

Phyllis Garriss Hartley, 49 of Corpus Christy, TX died September 21, 2013 at her home.

She was born July 4, 1964 in Halifax County, NC to James Vernon Garriss and Eunice Vinson Garriss. She was preceded in death by her father: James Vernon Garriss; her maternal grandparents: John A. Vinson and Bertha Vinson Stokes and paternal grandparents, Jay Vee Garris and Elizabeth Buck Garris.

Mrs. Hartley is survived by her Mother: Eunice Vinson Widener of Gaston; her son: Phillip Michael Hartley of Corpus Christi, TX; her sister: Elizabeth Faye Gontkovic of Tappahanock, VA; her uncle: John Vinson of Roanoke Rapids; her aunt: Linda Smith Coker of Gaston and Dorothy Bryant of Bartlett, TN; her nieces and nephews: Shannon Woods of Oklahoma, Taylor Elizabeth Gontkovic Christopher Garriss both of Tappahanock, VA and Brandon Norris of Richmond, VA.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
