Pete Brown

Ruffin E. “Pete” Brown, 83, formerly of Roanoke Rapids died May 15, 2022 in Hampton Manor in Gaston.

Pete was born in Halifax County on September 27, 1938, the son of William Henry Brown and Maggie Neathery Brown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Pete was employed for a number of years as a sander at Davis Body Shop.  Fishing was one of Pete’s most favorite past times.  Pete was a hard worker and a good friend, and he was extremely grateful for the friendship and care that was shown to him by his brother-in-law, Charles Edward Isles.

Survivors include his niece and nephews and their spouses, Dee and Randy Williams, Michael and Tammy Isles and Chuck and Pam Isles; as well as a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, May 19, 2022 from the graveside at Crestview Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Roy Porter presiding.  Friends may visit with the family following the service.
