Patricia Gray Miller

Patricia Gray Miller, 79, died October 12, 2020 in Carrboro after a long battle with vascular dememtia.

Patricia was born in Halifax County on July 19, 1941, a daughter of the late Jesse G. Gray and Orie Love Gray. Patricia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest supporter.

Patricia worked in textiles and food service for many years.  She spent countless hours, 12 years volunteering for the Berea High School “Green Marching Band” in Greenville, SC. She was a die hard Clemson football fan.

Survivors include her sons, Mark (Heidi) Miller of Nashville, TN, William (Melissa) Miller of Taylors, SC; daughters, Karen (David) Smith of Greenville, SC, Lori (Troy) Merritt of Hillsborough, NC; brother, Wayne (Linda) Gray of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Kelli Powell, Amanda Temple, Jared Smith, Allison Morton, Austin Morton, Rowan Merritt, Megan Miller; and was also blessed with four great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020 from 1:30 – 2:45 pm at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday from the graveside at Love Allen Cemetery.
