Patricia Gayle Wells, 72, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in her home. Ms. Wells was born on March 18, 1953 in Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of the late Eunice Carter and William George. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: James Davis, Donald Davis, Ida Flythe, and Linda Davis.
Survivors include her daughter Emily Ayers and her wife Angela of Wilmington, her son Bryan Dorsey of Mrytle Beach, her sister Mary Ruth Pruden of Roanoke Rapids, her grandchild Ashton Chiders, her lifelong partner Randall Conwell, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
