Orie Love Gray

Orie Love Gray, 88, of Hampton Manor in Gaston died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Halifax Regional Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1921 in Halifax County to

the late Kenny and Vera Love.

She was a member of Lakeview Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jessie Gordon Gray; sisters: Dora Allen, Linda Neal, Bertha Allen, Anna Powell and Doris Cox; brothers: Otha, Oscar and William Love.

She is survived by her son: Wayne Gray and wife Linda of Roanoke Rapids; daughter: Patricia Ann Miller of Greenville, S.C. ; grandchildren: Mark Miller and wife Heide, Karen Smith, Billy Miller, Lori Merritt ; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 7-8:30 and other times at the home of Eve Love at 529 Pinecrest Avenue Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at 1pm at Lakeview Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Arnold Cooper officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
