Olin "Beany" Neville Johnson

Ms. Olin Beany Neville Johnson, 82, of Roanoke Rapids, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Johnson was born February 20, 1930 to the late Furman Early Neville and Peachie Crawley Neville. She was also preceded in death by her sister Hazel Neville Pike.

Ms. Johnson was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was employed at Stevens / Bibb Company for 33 years until her retirement. Ms. Johnson was a loving and dedicated mother to her two children.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnny William Johnson and his wife Lisa of Roanoke Rapids. Her daughter, Janet Johnson Armstrong and her husband Mark of Roanoke Rapids. Her brother L.S. Bud Neville of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her Aunt Jo Crawley of Aurelian Springs and a family friend Earl Rooke. Grandchildren: Joy Johnson Abram, Joanna Clowney and husband Percy, Laura Armstrong Gillikin and husband Elton, Justin Mark Armstrong and Buna Nika. Great-grandchildren: Carter Abram, Logan Abram, Gabriella Smith, Bella Clowney, Marcus Campbell, Jacob Gillikin, Holly Gillikin, Jasmine Nika, Jayden Armstrong, Juliana Armstrong. Step grandchildren: Garrett Price and Destiny Pratt.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Billy Meinsen officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 17, 2012 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Lisa Johnson.
