Norman Wayne Taylor, Sr.

Norman Wayne Taylor, Sr. 71, of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 in his home.  Mr. Taylor was born in Halifax County on December 11, 1952, the son of the late Leon Alvin Taylor, Sr. and Thelma Jones Martin.  He is also preceded by his stepfather Jim Martin.

Surviving include his wife Dinah Smith Taylor, his children, Norman Wayne Taylor, Jr. and Donavan Lee Tharrington (Karen), his brother Leon Alvin Taylor, Jr. (Wanda), his sister Debbie Lassiter (Dennis), and his two grandchildren Wyatt Tharrington and Cody Dickens.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024 in Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Jeremy Kobernat officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
