Nettie Snyder King

Nettie Belle Snyder King, 106, passed on February 16, 2020 in Debary, FL.  She was born in Randolph County to James and Emma Snyder on January 2,1914.  Roanoke  Rapids was her home for 81 years where she was a long time member of the First Christian Church. The past five years she lived in Debary, FL.

Nettie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Paul King and two sons, Walter Lee (Fatty) and Christopher Drake King. She is survived by two children, Wayne (Nola) of Jefferson, NC and Betty Jean (Chris) of Debary, FL; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family members who loved her dearly.

God has gained another angel and we have lost a wonderful mother and friend.  The memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2020 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  Rev. Randy Martin will preside.   Burial in Cedarwood Cemetery will be private.
