Nancy Christine Moody Case

Nancy Christine Moody Case, 101, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Roanoke Rapids Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Case was born January 14, 1913, in Jackson County, NC, to the late Daniel G. and Bessie Connor Moody. Mrs. Case was a long time member of New Hope United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. Mrs. Case worked at Roanoke #1 for over 20 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Christopher Case, and eight brothers and sisters. Mrs. Case is survived by her daughters, Maxine F. Holloman of Roanoke Rapids; and Glenda C. Harris of Wake County; 3 grandchildren, Sharon Moore and husband Page; Melanie Gardner and husband David; and Laurie Bliga and husband Matt and his son Sammy. Also surviving are 5 great-grandchildren, Hannah Moore; John Wesley Moore; Rachel Moore; Case Gardner; and Sherry Gardner; and a special nephew, R. B. Moody. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 2:00 PM at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Rev. Sue Owens and Rev. Tom Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
