Nancy Carlisle Castellow

Nancy Lee Lewis Carlisle Castellow, 77, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Nancy was born July 11, 1945, in Emporia, VA to the late Thomas Lewis and Lillian Anderton Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Danny Carlisle, Sr. and C.G. Castellow; her son, Danny Carlisle, Jr.; her sisters, Virginia “Sis” Wrenn, Mable Gillam, Frances Leonard, Dorothy Taylor and Phyllis Beasley.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Donna Rose and her husband Bruce and Janet Pilgreen and her husband Jimmy; lots of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild and her son by another mother Billy Meinsen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 5, 2023, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Billy Meinsen officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter Janet Pilgreen.

The family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for their care and attention.
